I am glad I am back home so I can just play with it. I have a hammer on to do the first finger position, and it sounds great.

I never thought that would be something that I could do. Frankly at first I thought that was ridiculous I could never jam I am a beginning banjo player who knows nothing about music. He has talked about me having toolbox of things to bring out to jam with. I am now learning "Blackberry Blossum", and it is at a beginners level, of course, and the cool thing about this song is that it is teaching me how to move my left hand up and down the fretboard, which, after a lot of practising, I will be much more familiar, and I will be able to play a bit faster, as I won't be thinking so much about where my hand is going, it will start to go into muscle memory. I did a fair bit of practising this morning, in between other activities, and that has been good. I am really enjoying myself, and I am most appreciative of all the knowledge, and the sharing of that knowledge on BHO. I also got the chords for Abigail Washburn's version of "If I Needed You" and a mp3 of the song, from another member! People are so generous here. So I downloaded TEFview, so the next thing is to learn how to use it. So it was the little push I needed to venture into the world of tablature! So that is exciting. It is really nice to have some banjo friends! Another member messaged me about downloading TEFview, and/or TablEdit.
